Ahoy me harties!!! That’s how Ms Logan greeted us all last Thursday morning! Our school participated in Book Day and the theme was ‘Across the story bridge’! Everyone could not believe the amount of effort all of the families put in to their costumes! Well done! We believe it was the best Book Day ever. All staff, students and families had a great day and now look forward to borrowing some of the book from our library. A big thank you to Ms Logan for organising it all
At Bundarra PS classes this week have been celebrating Harmony Day which was on the 21st March. Below is some writing from our 5/6 classes!
Harmony means peace for all cultures around the world. It means everyone is getting along and working together as one. People say thankyou and sorry to each other. Everyone tries to stop racist people all over the world.

Harmony
It sounds like people having a good time…
Chatting and eating together and celebrating their cultures in all their different ways.
Everyone is equal,
No matter what they look like or speak like.
We celebrate diversity and differences everyday.
And Harmony is peaceful.

Well done to SAUNDERS!!!!!!! Who were the overall winners for the day!
And CONGRATULATIONS to all age group CHAMPIONS!!!
A big thankyou to all parent helpers, Bundarra staff and Grade 6s!!!!!!!!
Welcome back students, parents and staff! We trust that you all had a great summer break and enjoyed time with your families. We have a lot to look forward to this year, and it all begins this week with new classes and new teachers. Our staff are well prepared for a new year and are looking forward to it
Last week we spent time attending Professional Development sessions in Heywood Con, Portland North and Bundarra PS. We covered areas such as Restorative Practices, Autism, Dyslexia and Oral Language. We gained lots of useful information for our classrooms and our teaching. Mrs Reiffel discussed with us the following quote, and I thought it would be worthwhile sharing it with the school community…
“Core business of Bundarra PS is to create a learning environment for our students. Making good teaching happen for every child in every classroom everyday. We want our students to leave Bundarra PS with a love of learning.”
We hope you all have a great year in 2010 and we look forward to many things to come this year
